The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a two-vehicle collision along Highway 6 at Sadberry Road in Robertson County resulted in the death of one individual. The accident occurred at approximately 1 p.m. last Friday, October 28
According to preliminary investigations, a 2005 Ford pickup truck that was towing a horse trailer was traveling north along Highway 6 when its right rear tire blew up, causing its driver to lose control. The Ford went into the southbound lanes of Highway 6 where it rolled onto the passenger side. The trailer that was hauling two horses also rolled over. A separate 2014 GMC pickup truck was headed south along the same highway hit the cab of the Ford, then veered off the southbound side of Highway 6.
The driver of the truck, who was hauling the two horses, was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
