UPS truck driver dies in Walker County two-vehicle collision

A two-vehicle collision happened near Farm to Market Road 1696 along Interstate 45 at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14. The site of the accident is located north of Huntsville in Walker County. According to an article by KBTX, the collision resulted in the death of a truck driver working for UPS delivering packages.

According to preliminary investigations made by the Huntsville Police Department, a semi-truck for UPS collided with an 18-wheeler truck that was hauling vehicles. Both vehicles were traveling along the highway when the accident occurred. In a related development, a vehicle slammed into the back of the Huntsville Police Department squad car as police investigators conducted a probe into the initial collision. The occupant of the vehicle sustained minor injuries during the incident.
