Highway 281 car-semi crash kills four men

The Edinburg Police Department in Texas has reported that a two-vehicle crash that happened on southbound Highway 281 along the frontage road near Farm to Market Road 2812 at around 2:45 p.m. last Thursday, September 24 has resulted in the death of four individuals.

According to Edinburg Lieutenant Oscar Trevino, the accident involved a gray Ford Mustang GT and a white semi-truck trailer.

The Mustang, which contained the four men who perished in the accident, was headed south on the frontage road approaching Orange Street when it collided with the rear of a trailer which was attempting to make a right turn on Orange Street.

The trailer’s driver was taken to a nearby hospital to treat his non-life-threatening injuries. The four people in the other vehicle succumbed to the injuries that they sustained in the crash.
