One woman dies in Buda dump truck accident

A dump truck driving on Farm to Market 1626 in Buda, Texas early in the morning of Monday, November 10 lost control, causing its load to fall on top of another vehicle and the death of one woman, police investigators said.

A baby boy, who was riding with his grandmother in the vehicle, survived the crash.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Jacob Burlison, the dump truck was traveling east of FM 1626 when it lost control and crashed into a westbound car, which had stopped to avoid a collision with the out-of-control truck. The dump truck hit the guard rail and then fell on top of the car, killing 58-year-old Trisha Marie Foulkrod.
